About This Page
Why A Webpage
Wow.. the times have changed. I started this page in November 2000. Back then there was no Facebook or MySpace. Many people were hard pressed to have a picture on the net. Most people had an AOL page which sucked. If you were a nerd, you learned to do a web page. Guess which one I am.
It has struck me that such a big website about me could come off a little conceited, so I decided to add this page to explain. As it turns out, I'm just a little bit of a coumputer geek and enjoy making the pages and writing the code. If I had something else to write about, I'd probably have chosen that. This just works as a way to post pics for me and my friends and have a presence on the WWW as well. While I'm at it, a little info about me hopefully won't hurt on catching a partner some day.
Last Update Date
The date at the beginning of this page that says when I last updated it is usually wrong. I usually forget to update the last updated date. Seems like some kind of oxymoron or something like that doesn't it? Why bucknrut.com
My original domain was greenbeansandcorn.com, and I let it expire. I didn't really care, but it was a pain to think of something different. Now I have to change the page too. I thought buknrut was a fun name and went with it. I like to get out, do things, and have fun, but I'm not so much the horn dog that it implies (well, not lately anyway:-) So just take it in the fun it was intended. Additionally typing buknrut.com is easier than greenbeansandcorn.com.
Why greenbeansandcorn.com
I usually say that it was shorter and seemed healthier than friedchickenandgraveybiscuits.com. Yeah, I love my grandma's green beans and corn, but the truth is, I couldn't think of anything better.
Greenbeansandcorn.com Revisited
Well, after all this drama, I finally got my domain greenbeansandcorn.com back. So I am slowly in the process to switching back to that. Buknrut doesn't describe me, and I got really frustrated at the number of so called "masculine" gay guys that didn't have a clue what it meant. Too many people in this lifestyle it seems think you can purchase masculinity in a truck and cowboy hat.
